From Pencil to Plant. Yes, Really.
You may have seen on our socials that we’re loving the Sprout™ Pencil. But we decided to stop just talking about it and actually put one in some soil. Because if we’re going to recommend something to our customers, we want to show you how it works.
So Sam took one for the team.
Can You Plant Your Pencil?
Yes, really. The Sprout™ Pencil is exactly what it sounds like. You use it like a normal pencil, writing, sketching, doodling, and when it gets too short to hold, instead of throwing it away, you pop it in some soil, water it, and wait.
Inside the end of every pencil is a little seed capsule. Depending on which variety you choose, that stub of a pencil can grow into basil, sunflowers, cherry tomatoes, sage, thyme, forget-me-nots, daisies, strawberry or spruce. The pencil itself is fully biodegradable, so the whole thing simply becomes part of the soil.
No waste. Just a plant.
How’s Sam Getting On?
We'll let Sam's children answer that one. Meet Polly and Benji, who have very much taken ownership of this particular experiment. Whether there is a little friendly sibling competition going on, we couldn't possibly say. But we are watching that pot very closely indeed.
Why We Think This Makes a Brilliant Branded Gift
The best promotional products get used, talked about, and genuinely remembered. A Sprout™ Pencil does all three. It’s useful as a pencil, surprising when you discover what it does next, and genuinely thoughtful as a gift.
It’s the kind of thing people show their colleagues. Their kids. Their Instagram followers.
Your logo sits on something that literally grows. We think that’s rather lovely.
They work beautifully for corporate gifting and client thank yous, new starter welcome packs, event giveaways, sustainability campaigns, and schools or educational organisations.
Minimum order is 100, and you can mix and match seed varieties. Get in touch and we’ll help you find the right combination for your audience.
In the meantime, fingers crossed for Sam’s Sprout™ Pencil. 🌻
