Sam Pella, a company director at Mansfield based promotional merchandise specialists Pellacraft is planning to spend her 40th birthday year raising £40,000 for Charity.
In order to raise the required £40,000, Sam, who is 40 on 19 December, will take on 40 challenges, which will test her both mentally and physically.
Throughout 2018, Sam will undertake a number of daunting tasks which so far includes cycling to exhibitions which will clock up a distance of 1300 miles, swimming 40 kilometres, walking 400 miles and baking 40 cakes.
The money raised will be shared between 4 charities that are very close to Sam’s heart and each which will receive a £10,000 donation. The chosen charities are Cerebral Palsy Sport, Framework, Nottinghamshire Womens Aid and the British Heart Foundation.
Commenting on the big year ahead of her, Sam said “I thought my 40th birthday shouldn’t be all about me and I so wanted to use it as a springboard to do something special. My birthday challenges will be completed throughout 2018 and beyond if I need to, but I won’t stop until I have raised £40,000.”
